"The Daishonin bestowed the unsurpassed practice of chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo on humanity so that all people of the Latter Day could tap the limitless power of the Mystic Law in their lives.
"Prayer for us, as practitioners of the Lotus Sutra, is prayer infused with a vow—a vow to carry out our own human revolution, a vow to transform our karma. It is a vow to achieve happiness for ourselves and others, and to actualise the Daishonin's ideal of 'establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land.' And to fulfil that vow, we strive with the heart of a lion king."
