February 12th-18th, 2017
-- Words of the Week --
There is nothing more eloquent,
more persuasive
than someone's actual personal experience.
Let's hold bright, vibrant discussion meetings
brimming with the joys of our faith and practice!
The Daishonin encourages us,
"Winter always turns to spring."*
With a really cheerful spirit,
let's have discussions that are full of hope!

*" Those who believe in the Lotus Sutra are as if in winter, but winter always turns to spring. Never, from ancient times on, has anyone heard or seen of winter turning back to autumn. Nor have we ever heard of a believer in the Lotus Sutra who turned into an ordinary person. The sutra reads, 'If there are those who hear the Law, then not a one will fail to attain Buddhahood.'" - "Winter Always Turns to Spring", WND-I, page 536

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
" A passage in the Six Pāramitās Sutra says to become the master of your mind rather than let your mind master you. Whatever trouble occurs, regard it as no more than a dream, and think only of the Lotus Sutra."

(Letter to the Brothers
- WND, Vol. I, page 502)

Seikyo Shimbun, February 12th, 2017

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The world, after all, comes down to human relationships. If we can remember that we are all human beings, we should be able to communicate, understand, and empathise with one another."

SGI Newsletter No. 9545, The New Human Revolution––Vol. 30: Chap. 1, Great Mountain 5, translation released 9th Feb., 2017
