-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Now, let's put forth our very best effort
to achieve great growth and development
so that we can complete our (traditional)
February shakubuku campaign successfully!
By taking good care of ourselves,
especially when there are such variants in temperature,
and chanting vibrant daimoku,
first and foremost,
let's all create a fresh new history!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"For this reason, when the bodhisattva Never Disparaging makes his bow of obeisance to the four kinds of believers, the Buddha nature inherent in the four kinds of believers of overbearing arrogance bows in obeisance to the bodhisattva Never Disparaging. It is like the situation when one faces a mirror and makes a bow of obeisance: the image in the mirror likewise makes a bow of obeisance to oneself."
(Chapter Twenty: The Bodhisattva Never Disparaging
- The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, page 165)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The Mystic Law enables us to vanquish devilish functions that undermine the dignity of life, and to make the treasure tower shine brilliantly within our own lives and the lives of others.
"Sixty-five years ago (in 1952), in the middle of the Cold War, my mentor, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda, shared his ideal of global citizenship with us of the youth division, who were then striving in the February Campaign.
"Transcending differences through open dialogue and helping people bring forth the treasure towers within their lives—this is the surest and most solid way to expand our network for peace and happiness."
SGI Newsletter No. 9554, Advancing with the Gosho: Words of Encouragement from SGI President Ikeda (53), Shining as Treasure Towers, from 16th Feb., 2017, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun translation released 21st Feb., 2017
