-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's start the day
with earnestly doing gongyo and chanting daimoku
brimming with gratitude and
determining to fulfil our vow for kosen-rufu!
As the Daishonin states,
"Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life,"*
let's spend each and every day
forging ourselves
through all the various challenges we face!
*"Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens. How could this be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law? Strengthen your power of faith more than ever."
("Happiness in This World", WND-1, page 681)

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbour doubts in our hearts, we will as a matter of course attain Buddhahood."
("The Opening of the Eyes", WND-1 page 283)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The formula for victory is unchanging. We win through the courageous faith and practice of each member. We win through our sincere actions day after day. And we win through the unity of 'many in body, one in mind.'

"Aiming towards our goal of developing youth, let us call forth youthful fellow Bodhisattvas of the Earth, striving together in harmony, high spirits, and good cheer!"
