-- TO MY FRIENDS --
When we summon forth our courage,
everything becomes a source
for happiness and joy
at the same time we can definitely win
in any and all challenges.
By continuously chanting daimoku,
no matter what,
let's exert ourselves
bravely and vigorously!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"The verse section of the chapter states, ' . . single-mindedly desiring to see the Buddha, not hesitating even if it costs them their lives.' As a result of this passage, I have revealed the Buddhahood in my own life."

(Letter to Gijō-bō - WND, Vol. I, page 389)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The realm of the shared struggle of mentor and disciple based on the Gosho is as broad and deep as the ocean, as high and vast as the sky.

"Nichiren Buddhism is a treasure house of limitless wisdom, opening the door to the spiritual revolution of the 21st century.

"When we forge ahead upholding this great life philosophy, we can change the underlying spiritual foundation of society. That's why we need to keep the spirit of shared struggle burning in our hearts as we continue to work toward realising this most fundamental transformation. Today, the Buddhism of the sun, dispelling the darkness of the Latter Day of the Law, is starting to shine throughout the world, illuminating society.

"…Now is the time to advance! Lions fear nothing! Let's press forwards on our path, with no regrets! And with a united lion's roar, one as mentor and disciple, convinced of the victory of our movement, let's create a record of noble achievement and make the triumphant song of our shared struggle resound far and wide!"

SGI Newsletter No. 9552, SGI President Ikeda's Study Lecture Series, The Buddhism of the Sun—Illuminating the World, [15] Basing Ourselves on the Writings of Nichiren Daishonin—Part 2 [of 2], Making the Triumphant Song of Our Shared Struggle Resound, from the July 2016 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 17th Feb., 2017
