-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's be sure to express our appreciation
to all the people in our neighbourhood and workplace
who helped and supported us this year!
The friendship and trust we share with people is our true treasure.
Let's spend the end of the year connecting and bonding
with the people in our lives!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And yet, though one might point at the earth and miss it, though one might bind up the sky, though the tides might cease to ebb and flow and the sun rise in the west, it could never come about that the prayers of the practitioner of the Lotus Sutra would go unanswered."
(On Prayer - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin,
Vol. 1, page 345)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Prayer is the starting point of religion; the human wish for happiness, the starting point of faith. Even those who profess no religion invariably wish and pray for something—whether it be to overcome hardship, live better lives, or safeguard the happiness and welfare of their families and loved ones. This is only human nature.
"Prayer in Nichiren Buddhism is about bringing reality into alignment with our wishes and desires based on the Law of life.
"Buddhism explores and illuminates the great Law of life underlying all physical and spiritual phenomena. This is the Mystic Law. Nichiren Daishonin inscribed the Gohonzon so that we could tap this invisible, yet real power from within our lives.
"My mentor, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda, said: "I apologise for using such a simplistic analogy, but the Gohonzon can be likened to a 'happiness- producing device.'"
"Through the power of our own strong faith and practice, we can bring forth the infinite power of the Buddha and the Law."
