-- TO MY FRIENDS --
We are now entering an extremely busy period of the year.
Let's be careful not to cause any accidents at all.
Let's pay sufficient attention when driving through snowdrifts
or on icy roads!
Let's advance, keeping carelessness and inattentiveness at bay!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"When a tree has been transplanted, though fierce winds may blow, it will not topple if it has a firm stake to hold it up."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The key to dialogue is listening. Listening is learning; it expands our world. If we interact with others with respect and sincerity, dialogue will naturally flow. Dialogue is the way to achieve real heart-to-heart communication.

"An ancient philosopher said the reason we have two ears is so we may listen twice as much as we speak.

"Sometimes just having someone to listen can dispel your worries and concerns. Or when you share a problem with someone, the answer may become clear as you talk about it.

"Dialogue has the wondrous power to elevate its participants to a new and higher plane—that's why listening intently to someone is in itself a great form of encouragement."

SGI Newsletter No. 9133, Humanistic Teachings for Victory, Encouraging One Another and Advancing Together, Start by Listening, from 15th May, 2013, issue of the Soka Shimpo, translation released 5th Dec., 2014
