-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's always lend an ear to the problems and concerns our friends have
and make sure to warmly engage with them!
Encouragement is the mother of courage,
the wellspring of hope
and the powerhouse for generating happiness.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Whatever trouble occurs, regard it as no more than a dream, and think only of the Lotus Sutra."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"When I exchanged opinions with the peace scholar Elise Boulding (1920–2010) regarding the methodologies of social transformation, she declared: 'I have long believed that a wholesome, peaceful world is possible if we devote all-out effort to the development of each member of the community.' (i) She also maintained that the future direction of society is in fact determined by the 5 percent who are active and committed. This 5 percent ultimately transforms the culture in its entirety. I draw great hope from her confidence.

"In this sense, it is not mere numbers but the strength and depth of our solidarity that will put us on a path towards the rehumanization of politics and economics. Generating solidarity, domestically and internationally, among ordinary citizens who desire to see that no one suffers in misery is the key to transforming the direction of history."

SGI Newsletter No. 9229, SGI President Ikeda's Peace Proposal 2015, A Shared Pledge for a More Humane Future: To Eliminate Misery from the Earth, translation released 1st April, 2015

[i]  Ikeda and Boulding, Into Full Flower, 93.
