-- Words of the Week --
Let's cheer on and applaud
our Women's Division members
for holding the world's foremost general meetings.
It's such gatherings, full of bright smiles,
that encourage blossoms of happiness and hope
to spread far and wide.
Hurray for our suns of peace!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"As practice progresses and understanding grows, the three obstacles and four devils emerge in confusing form, vying with one another to interfere . . . One should be neither influenced nor frightened by them."

- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin,
Vol. 1, page 501)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"My mentor, second Soka Gakkai president, Josei Toda, said: 'Suffering is a part of life. Without suffering, we wouldn't be able to savour true enjoyment or pleasure. When we fully grasp this, being alive in itself becomes enjoyable. That is the ultimate purpose of our Buddhist practice.'

"He also said: 'Any organisation or group, as it grows, will experience various problems and mishaps. This is inevitable. But the power of the Mystic Law enables us to solve such issues and ensure that our organisation continues to develop. This is the way of value creation."

SGI Newsletter No. 9247, The Wisdom for Creating Happiness and Peace, Part 2: Human Revolution, Chapter 10: Transforming Karma into Mission, from the May 2015 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 29th May, 2015
