A translation of President Ikeda's "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shimbun and more. Friday, June 5th, 2015 -- TO MY FRIENDS -- One who is always humble is a truly broad-minded person. By constantly trying to appreciate all the support we receive and always trying to learn from others, we can make boundless self-improvement and development. Friday, June 5th, 2015 --- DAILY GOSHO --- "What is most important is that, by chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo alone, you can attain Buddhahood. It will no doubt depend on the strength of your faith. To have faith is the basis of Buddhism." (The Real Aspect of the Gohonzon - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Volume 1, page 832) Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, June 5th, 2015 Saturday, June 6th, 2015 ---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ---- "When we take on big problems and chant abundantly to find a way to solve them, we can expand and elevate our life state. Before we notice it, our minor, petty problems will all have been resolved. This is the ultimate essence of the Buddhist teaching that the sufferings of earthly desires lead to enlightenment. "Chanting about challenges in our life and chanting for kosen-rufu, the aspiration to help all people become happy, are essentially one and indivisible. Both propel us forwards. "Our personal victories are actual proof of kosen-rufu. When we chant strongly for the development of the SGI, which is advancing kosen-rufu, we forge invincible inner strength and attain the towering life state of champions." SGI Newsletter No. 9247, The Wisdom for Creating Happiness and Peace, Part 2: Human Revolution, 10.2 Fulfilling Our Vow as Bodhisattvas of the Earth, from the May 2015 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 29th May, 2015 * The Japanese kanji is available by clicking on Seikyo Shinbun's web-site address at http://www.seikyoonline.jp/news/index.html --WAGATOMO NI OKURU-- KENKYOSA O WASURENAI HITO GA YUTAKANA KOKORO NO MOCHINUSHI DA.
