June 8th - 14th, 2015
-- Words of the Week --
"Leaders" are always at the very forefront of our activities!
Compassion is all about freeing one from suffering and bringing one joy.*
Let's give the type of encouragement that is awakening
for those who are facing hardships right now
and inspires them to change their karma
into a sense of mission
and transforms any and all despair into hope!

*"... it is this doctrine of three thousand realms in a single moment of life that is capable of freeing one from suffering and bringing one joy." - OTT, page 173

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Although Nichiren and his followers are few, because they are different in body, but united in mind, they will definitely accomplish their great mission of widely propagating the Lotus Sutra."

(Many in Body, One in Mind- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol. 1, page 618) Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, June 8th, 2015

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"A religion whose essential spirit is not passed on invariably becomes rigid, ritualistic, and authoritarian; it loses its vital essence, falls into decline, and ultimately disappears.

"Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'It is the heart that is important' (WND-1, 1000). People's hearts, their spirit, are the driving force for kosen-rufu."

SGI Newsletter No. 9250, The New Human Revolution––Vol. 27: Chap. 2, Justice 7, translation released 3rd June, 2015
