--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens. How could this be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law? Strengthen your power of faith more than ever."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The Daishonin speaks of 'blocking off the road that leads to the hell of incessant suffering' (cf. WND-1, 736). 'The road that leads to the hell of incessant suffering' here is a denunciation of slander of the Law, such as that epitomised by the Pure Land (Nembutsu) teaching of his day. The Daishonin's statement with reference to blocking that road is an expression of his conviction that he is able to not only save his teacher Dozen-bo, who never completely relinquished his faith in the Nembutsu teaching, but also help people now and in all future ages enter the way to happiness.

"The determination to search out those who are suffering, help them become happy, and prevent them from falling into a life of despair and regret—this is the heart of the mentors and disciples of Soka, who carry on the compassionate lion's roar of Nichiren Daishonin.
"At the same time, his reference to 'blocking off the road that leads to the hell of incessant suffering' can also be read as a powerful declaration to change the karma of all humankind, and to prevent the slide into catastrophe of all human social groups, from the family to the nation to society as a whole."
