--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"If you care anything about your personal security, you should first of all pray for order and tranquillity throughout the four quarters of the land, should you not?"
(On Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Volume 1, page 24) Selection source: For Ikeada Kayokai gosho study, Seikyo Shimbun, August 8th, 2015

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Valuing small gatherings where members can communicate heart-to-heart is a Soka Gakkai tradition.
"Founding Soka Gakkai president Tsunesaburo Makiguchi always tried to get to a discussion meeting before anyone else. When the first person arrived, he engaged him or her in deep conversation. When the second and third came, he included them in the conversation. In this way, he carefully and thoughtfully communicated the hope-filled life philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism.
"Second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda also often said: 'It's fine even if there's just one person [at a meeting]. We should wholeheartedly talk to that one person about Nichiren Buddhism, relating our experiences in faith, and sincerely discussing kosen-rufu and life.'
"Holding encouraging meetings where each person who attends can return home inspired, feeling glad they came and refreshed, and having enjoyed themselves. Such meetings are true Buddhist assemblies in the tradition of that where the Lotus Sutra was preached."
