-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To all of my dear friends
who are fighting against illness right now,
never ever be defeated!
By chanting daimoku
like that of a roaring lion,*
please be absolutely determined to
change your karma into your mission,
never ever giving up!
*"Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is like the roar of a lion. What sickness can therefore be an obstacle?" - "Reply to Kyō'ō", WND-I, page 412

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"If one's heavy karma from the past is not expiated within this lifetime, one must undergo the sufferings of hell in the future, but if one experiences extreme hardship in this life [because of the Lotus Sutra], the sufferings of hell will vanish instantly."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"In the Lotus Sutra, we find the words: 'You should rise and greet him from afar, showing him the same respect you would a Buddha' (LSOC28, 365). Let us always deeply respect and treasure those seeking Buddhism, greeting them as Buddhas."
