-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Where people are united,
there is joyful advancement.
If we pull together in what we are chanting for,
there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome.
Together,
let's create a new history!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And yet, though one might point at the earth and miss it, though one might bind up the sky, though the tides might cease to ebb and flow and the sun rise in the west, it could never come about that the prayers of the practitioner of the Lotus Sutra would go unanswered."
(On Prayer - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Volume 1, page 345) Selection source: For YMD Gosho study meetings, Seikyo Shimbun, August 29th, 2015
Sunday, August 30th, 2015
---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'The words "four sides" [of the treasure tower] stand for birth, ageing, sickness, and death. We use the aspects of birth, aging, sickness, and death to adorn the towers that are our bodies. And when, while in these four states of birth, ageing, sickness, and death, we chant Nam-myoho- renge-kyo, we cause them to waft forth the fragrance of the four virtues [eternity, happiness, true self, and purity].'

- From The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, p. 90.
"Birth, ageing, sickness, and death are inescapable aspects of human existence. The teachings of Buddhism, which were expounded to help people overcome the sufferings inherent in the human condition, set forth the way by which all people can attain a state of life imbued with the four noble virtues of eternity, happiness, true self, and purity.
"Those who align their lives with the Mystic Law have nothing to fear. For those of us who chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, ageing, sickness, and even death become precious jewels adorning the treasure towers of our lives; they become joy-filled adventures.
"Let us make even greater efforts to spread this fragrant breeze [of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo] that can give supreme hope to all humanity!"
