--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Be diligent in developing your faith until the last moment of your life. Otherwise you will have regrets."
("Letter to Niike", WND-1 page 1027)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The first defining feature of a youthful spirit is the spirit of challenge.
"The Daishonin writes: 'Strengthen your faith day by day and month after month. Should you slacken in your resolve even a bit, devils will take advantage' (WND-1, 997).
"Life is full of unexpected difficulties and obstacles; it is a struggle against complacency and stagnation. The lion's roar of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the ultimate means for overcoming every problem. Those who keep chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens, are never defeated.
"In regions around the globe, SGI members are taking on inspiring new challenges and initiatives. For instance, members in Oceania, which includes many small island nations spread over a vast area in the Pacific, have started using Internet video conferencing to hold leaders meetings. For these members, travelling overseas to gather physically can be very expensive and time-consuming, but online meetings allow them to communicate regularly, exchange ideas, and encourage one another, creating waves of joy and inspiration. Members are able to connect heart to heart across great distances and work together to strengthen the network of capable individuals on these 'Victory Islands' of Oceania that are breaking through limitations.
"Change is occurring at an ever-accelerating pace. That's what makes it so important to chant strongly on a daily basis to summon forth the 'wisdom of the truth that functions in accordance with changing circumstances' (OTT, 10). Based on that wisdom, we can then rise boldly to every challenge and enact our own hope-filled dramas of human revolution and help others do the same."
SGI Newsletter No. 9522, SGI President Ikeda's New Year's Message for 2017, Youthful Bodhisattvas of the Earth, Be the Light of Hope for Humanity!, translation released 4th Jan. 2017
