That is where SGI discussion meeting's are held
and where people can find a source of hope and courage.
Let's do all that we can to cultivate and enlarge

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"If Nichiren's compassion is truly great and encompassing, Nam-myoho-renge-kyo will spread for ten thousand years and more, for all eternity, for it has the beneficial power to open the blind eyes of every living being in the country of Japan, and it blocks off the road that leads to the hell of incessant suffering."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'Those resolved to seek the way should gather [together in one place] and listen to the contents of this letter.'
- From "Letter from Teradomari," (WND-1, 206).

"Nichiren Daishonin wrote these words in Teradomari in Echigo Province (present-day Nagaoka City in Niigata Prefecture), just prior to being sent into exile on Sado Island in 1271, following the Tatsunokuchi Persecution.

"Exactly 600 years after the Daishonin was exiled to Sado, the Soka Gakkai's founding president Tsunesaburo Makiguchi was born in Niigata Prefecture (on June, 6, 1871). In perfect accord with these words of the Daishonin, he set in motion a movement based on discussion meetings, propagating the Mystic Law while bravely enduring hardship and persecution in a troubled age.

"SGI members gather together to chant, study the Daishonin's writings, and encourage and support one another. Drawing endless courage and energy from such gatherings, may our Soka family always forge ahead triumphantly!
