-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Seemingly small matters are important.
Let's act with lightening speed and seriousness
in particular to reports from fellow members
or when someone seeks advice!
The accumulation of such concern and actions
becomes the propelling force for enormous growth.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Think of those thousand Buddhas extending their hands to all of Nichiren's disciples and lay supporters who chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo as melons or moonflowers extending their slender vines."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Nichiren Daishonin expressed his keen insight into the workings of life as follows: 'The fundamental nature of enlightenment [or Dharma nature] manifests itself as Brahma and Shakra [the protective workings of the universe]' (WND-1, 1113).

"If you allow your determination to falter when you find yourself facing unexpected obstacles, your life will be shrouded by fundamental darkness and you'll be defeated by devilish functions.

"But by chanting the lion's roar of daimoku and bravely challenging yourself true to your vow for kosen-rufu, the fundamental nature of enlightenment, or Dharma nature, inherent within you will shine with increasing brilliance. You will be able to activate and bring forth the protection of Brahma, Shakra, and the other benevolent forces of the universe, defeating negative functions and transforming them into positive forces."

SGI Newsletter No. 9199, The Song of Human Victory, Adorning the Soka Gakkai's Founding Month with Practice and Study, from 15th Nov., 2014, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 12th Feb. 2015
