-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To all of our dear friends who are experiencing challenges in their workplaces,
never be defeated by your circumstances!
Our practising this faith enables us to have boundless hope
and the courage to absolutely never give up.
Let's also do all we can to warmly encourage those around us
who may be encountering similar struggles to ourselves!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens. How could this be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law? Strengthen your power of faith more than ever."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Life's course does not always run smoothly. There are days of deep sadness and times of great suffering.

"…But the deeper the sorrow and the greater the hardships we face, the more profound our joy will be when we overcome them.

"We practise Nichiren Buddhism, which enables us to change poison into medicine.

"Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'Misfortune will change into fortune' (WND-1, 412).

"We can transform all our problems and sufferings, moving everything in a positive direction—in the direction of happiness, human revolution, and Buddhahood without fail. With the passage of time, this will become clear.

"Nothing is ever wasted in Buddhism. Times of adversity are opportunities to expand our state of life and accumulate benefit."

SGI Newsletter No. 9194, Humanistic Teachings for Victory, Changing Poison into Medicine through Faith, Turning Adversity into an Opportunity to Expand Our State of Life, from 2nd Oct., 2013, issue of the Soka Shimpo, translation released 31st Jan., 2015
