-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The Gosho says:
"Strengthen your resolve more than ever."*
Shed all traces of complacency and inertia!
Our burning passion and determination
is the engine that helps us to make giant strides forwards.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Even though you chant and believe in Myoho-renge-kyo, if you think the Law is outside yourself, you are embracing not the Mystic Law but an inferior teaching."

(On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime - The Writings of Nichiren
Daishonin, Vol. 1, Page 3)
Selection source: Kyo no Hosshin, Seikyo Shimbun, Feb 25th, 2015

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'Those who have faith in and practice the Lotus and Nirvana sutras should never seek some other place [as the pure land]. The place where those who have faith in these sutras are is the pure land.'
- From 'On the Protection of the Nation' (WND-2, 144).

"The ideal realm of happiness described in the sutras as 'the land of Eternally Tranquil Light' does not exist in some faraway place. It is something we build for ourselves in the here and now.

"Bewailing our environment changes nothing. As practitioners of the Mystic Law, we can positively transform our homes, our communities, and our workplaces, moving them in a direction that shines with hope and happiness.

"Holding high the banner of Nichiren Daishonin's ideal of 'establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land,' let's produce a great flowering of friendship and good fortune in the place where we have vowed to work for kosen-rufu. For that place is the pure land, the Buddha land."

SGI Newsletter No. 9204, Living the Gosho: Words of Encouragement (49) The "Land of Eternally Tranquil Light" Exists Right Here, from 24th Feb., 2015, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 24th Feb. 2015
