-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Even though people might stumble and fall in life,
as long as they can pick themselves up and carry on advancing,
they are true victors.
No matter what happens,
always remain determined not to be defeated!

(Chapter Twenty-eight: Encouragements of the Bodhisattva Universal Worthy
- The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, page 192)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"In a sense, life is a series of difficulties. No life is without its problems. But happiness is not merely the absence of suffering.

"Happiness shines in a life state capable of overcoming any form of suffering or hardship and transforming it into joy. This is a state of genuine fulfillment. It is the ability to advance continuously, always creating value, never daunted by adversity. Buddhism enables us to achieve a better life, a life of complete satisfaction, while accumulating treasures of the heart that will endure forever."

SGI Newsletter No. 9201, Learning from the Writings of Nichiren Daishonin: The Teachings for Victory, [63] "Earthly Desires Are Enlightenment," Establishing a State of Absolute Happiness, from June 2014 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 18th Feb., 2015
