-- TO MY FRIENDS --
When taking care of our members,
it's important to allow ourselves enough time
to patiently and carefully visit each of them,
and to listen to what they have to say
attentively and sincerely.
It's such steady efforts to visit and encourage our members
that develops the great current of the kosen-rufu movement.
Let's courageously and in the very best of high spirits
set off to visit our fellow members

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The 'Emerging from the Earth' (15th) chapter of the Lotus Sutra likens our lives to the lotus that produces beautiful blossoms though it grows in muddy water (LSOC15, 263). We plunge into the mire of contemporary society and, without being sullied by it, dedicate our lives to the great mission of kosen-rufu and bring magnificent flowers of victory to bloom. This is our challenge as Bodhisattvas of the Earth.

"Nichiren Daishonin set forth three requirements for winning over adversity: prudence, courage, and firm faith (cf. WND-1, 1000).

"Whatever the situation, let us earnestly chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, and advance calmly and steadily with our fellow members, staying ever alert.

"Aiming for the glorious anniversary of the Soka Gakkai's founding on November 18th, let us make even greater efforts to open the way to kosen-rufu and build bridges of friendship—for the sake of a victorious future and the eternal happiness of ourselves and others.

"Let us make a song of hope, a melody of courage, reverberate throughout our communities and society!"
