"My mentor, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda, said: 'Praying for the happiness of your friends and speaking to them about the Mystic Law is the greatest expression of friendship. Even if they don't start practising right away, you will earn their trust. Thinking about how you can help your friends and spread Nichiren Buddhism is equivalent to the Buddha's inner struggle to lead all people to enlightenment.'
"There's no need to be swayed by short-term results or developments. The time will surely come when the seeds you have sown will bloom as flowers of happiness in your friends' hearts. Rest assured that all the efforts you are now making will become the foundation of your life."
