published in the Seikyo Shinbun and more.

November 7th-13th, 2016
-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
Now, the autumn of dialogue
- the time to converse, is here!
The more we chant daimoku,
the more we take courageous action,
and the more we share this Buddhism with others,
the wider the great path to happiness becomes.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"There should be no discrimination among those who propagate the five characters of Myoho-renge-kyo in the Latter Day of the Law, be they men or women. Were they not Bodhisattvas of the Earth, they could not chant the daimoku."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"To excel at our jobs, we need to completely discard the idea that everything will just fall into place because we are practising Nichiren Buddhism. That's a misguided way of thinking, a form of arrogance that goes against the Daishonin's teaching that we should regard our work as our Buddhist practice. Always remember that correct faith means having utmost wisdom and common sense.

"Buddhism is a way of life. Winning the trust of those around us and demonstrating proof of victory in our workplaces leads directly to victory in our lives and in Buddhism. That's why it's important to play a vibrant and active role in our workplaces and communities."

SGI Newsletter No. 9478, The Wisdom for Creating Happiness and Peace, Part 3: Kosen-rufu and World Peace, Chapter 20: "Be Good Citizens!"—Part 2 [of 2], 20.5 Spreading Trust Is Kosen-rufu, scene from The New Human Revolution, Shin'ichi Yamamoto (SGI President Ikeda) attends a February 1977 meeting of the Soka Gakkai's Business Professionals Division, and describes the fundamental approach that practitioners of Nichiren Buddhism should adopt in their efforts for kosen-rufu, from the August 2016 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 28th Oct., 2016
