-- Words of the Week --
The Kosen-rufu movement advances
through "dialogue" with other people.
If we take action,
If we take action,
our life condition becomes more elevated.
If we share our beliefs with others,
we can help more people
If we share our beliefs with others,
we can help more people
to connect with Buddhism.
By using our faith to take vibrant courageous action,
let's together accumulate the treasures of the heart!*
*"More valuable than treasures in a storehouse are the treasures of the body, and the treasures of the heart are the most valuable of all. From the time you read this letter on, strive to accumulate the treasures of the heart!"

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"There are not two lands, pure or impure in themselves. The difference lies solely in the good or evil of our minds."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The Daishonin sent the lay nun Myoichi the letter titled 'The Meaning of Faith.' It opens with the words: 'What is called faith is nothing unusual' (WND-1, 1036).
"To clarify his point, the Daishonin likens faith to the way a woman cherishes her husband, a man treasures and protects his wife, parents care for their children, and a child clings to its mother (cf. WND-1, 1036).
"The affection between husband and wife or parent and child is a spontaneous expression of life, a natural manifestation of our inherent humanity. We should chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo to the Gohonzon in the same unaffected, openhearted way. That is faith, the Daishonin says.
"After being widowed, Myoichi continued to strive earnestly in faith, not only for herself but also for her departed husband, while doing her best to raise their children to be fine young people. No doubt the Daishonin's compassionate words resonated deeply in her heart.
"Faith should always be honest and unpretentious.
"As the Daishonin writes: 'Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens' (WND-1, 681).
"Whether experiencing suffering or joy, we should just take everything to the Gohonzon, expressing whatever is in our hearts as we chant."
