-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The SGI will forever be victorious
with the perfect unity of
"many in body, united in mind".
Each and every one of you,
as a leader for kosen-rufu,
stand up by yourself, no matter what happens.
Let's establish an unshakable solidarity of humanism!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And yet, though one might point at the earth and miss it, though one might bind up the sky, though the tides might cease to ebb and flow and the sun rise in the west, it could never come about that the prayers of the practitioner of the Lotus Sutra would go unanswered."

(On Prayer
- WND, Vol. I, page 345)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'What is most important is that, by chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo alone, you can attain Buddhahood' (WND-1, 832). And the Daishonin further asserts that whether one attains Buddhahood depends on the strength of one's faith (cf. WND-1, 832).

"Our happiness isn't decided by the length of time we have practised Nichiren Buddhism—much less our position in the organisation or in society. It's determined by the strength or depth of our faith.

"A basic tenet of Nichiren Buddhism is that everything starts with faith, no matter who we are or what our circumstances."

SGI Newsletter No. 9587, The Buddhism of the Sun—Illuminating the World, [17] Faith, Practice, and Study: The Basics of Nichiren Buddhism—Part 1 [of 3], Believing Solely in the Lotus Sutra Leads Directly to Happiness, from the September 2016 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 13th April, 2017
