-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To all those people who are starting work,
let's always try to do our very best!
Those who stick by the three important values of
sincerity, perseverance and earnestness,
will forever shine with the precious treasure of trustworthiness.
I am always chanting for your good health and glory.

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"I devoted myself with absolute commitment. The members of the men's and women's divisions stood up in the same spirit, becoming aware that their efforts to share Buddhism would directly contribute to realising their mentor's lifelong goal of 750,000 member households.
"Concretely speaking, we drove propagation by invigorating the unit, the smallest organisational component at the time, just as Mr. Toda instructed. In other words, we made small-group discussions, one-on-one dialogue, and openhearted discussion meetings the focus of our efforts.
"We resolved, first of all, to chant earnestly; to initiate courageous and sincere dialogue, starting with our close personal connections—friends, family, neighbours, and others in our local communities; and to confidently and joyfully share our experiences in faith.
"The true 'battleground' for kosen-rufu is on the front lines of dialogue. This is where we should concentrate our energies and make wholehearted efforts.
"Summoning the courage to meet with friends individually, chanting for their happiness, then sincerely and passionately talking with them about Buddhism—this spirit of personal initiative breaks down the walls in our own hearts and moves and inspires others. This is spreading Buddhism to the best of our ability, without sparing our voices, as taught by the Daishonin (cf. OTT, 57).
"Praising his disciple Shijo Kingo, the Daishonin writes: 'Following me, you, as a votary of the Lotus Sutra, have told others of this Law [Nam-myoho-renge-kyo]. What else could this be but the transmission of the Law?' (WND-1, 318).
"Sharing the philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism with all those with whom we share a connection, united in purpose with our mentor, is the 'transmission of the Law'—in other words, spreading the Mystic Law throughout the world."
